By now you should all have received your voting papers in the mail.
Completed voting papers must be returned to Theresa Dunston, the returning officer in the envelope provided or they can be delivered by hand until noon on election day.
This is a postal election and the voting paper is valid only if returned in the addressed envelope provided.
All voters who intend to post their votes must do so at least two days before 7 May. All valid voting papers that are received by you through the post before the end of the fifth day after voting closes will be included, and counted, provided the envelope is postmarked with a time before noon on 7 May 2010. For example, all letters processed by New Zealand Post show the time of 5:00pm.
A voting paper posted after 5:00pm pm the day before the voting closed will not be cleared by New Zealand Post until the next day, and will be cancelled with a time of 5:00pm on voting day. As the election closes at noon that voting paper will be invalid because it will show that it was posted after the closing time.
A voting box has been placed in the school office for hand delivered voting papers.
