St Mary’s, an integrated Roman Catholic Primary School, was established in 1942 and was staffed by the Sisters of St Joseph of Cluny. Integration into the State system occurred on May 24 1982 with a maximum roll of 305 pupils. St Mary’s school is centrally located in a magnificent setting with the Tauranga Estuary as our boundary. The Maximum roll has now grown to 410 pupils and in 2003.  St Mary’s changed from being a full primary to a school catering to Year 1 – Year 6 students.
