Teaching staff explored the redesign of our current school vision at a special meeting last Wednesday. Staff came up with over 100 desirable ‘dispositions’ that could possibly identify a St Mary’s Graduate. The task was then to discuss, debate and minimise down to ten possible ‘dispositions’ through a collaborative process.  A brief written statement incorporating the key dispositions will be formed after input from our students, staff and you the parent community.
In a June newsletter  we asked you to consider the following questions, which we are examining as part of this process:

1. How do we want our school to be in the future? How different might it be from how the school was five years ago?
2. What characteristics will our school need for our students to feel confident, connected, lifelong learners who are actively involved in school life?
3. Does the vision statement that we currently have set the direction for the way we want our school to be?

We have an ‘on-line’ survey for you to complete, so you the parents can participate in forming our vision for the future.
